Why Create a Team?
By creating a team, not only will you gather pledges to support Islanders but you will also have the opportunity to meet people from all over the province, enjoy the activities of the day, and take steps towards preventing HIV/AIDS, a disease that can affect any one of us.
This is your chance to get to know your fellow workers, neighbours, friends, family a little better and to get to spend the day with them. You can come up with many different ways to raise funds and still have fun in doing so.
THE WALK itself is looking for teams who are full of spirit and kindness and are willing to show that. There will be awards given at the walk for several different categories such as: best definition of team, loudest team, team with most money raised, etc.
Your involvement in the walk creates a chance to show your support and prove to all that when people come together it creates hope and encouragement to everyone island wide. It makes us appreciate each and every day of our lives a little more and not take those things for granted that we once did.
Get to know your province, your neighbours, your community and come out on the day of THE WALK to enjoy the activities and the socializing.
