Personal giving

AIDS PEI is a not-for-profit organization that strives to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS on Prince Edward Island and raise awareness and public knowledge of HIV, sexual health and personal protection. We also work to support people living with HIV/AIDS by addressing the social determinants of health (such as income and education).

Our programming is costly; we provide approximately $9,000 per year in health maintenance funding to supplement the income of individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.  We also provide over $4,000 in emergency health funding to decrease the burden of sudden health expense.

We also spend over $10,000 per year on prevention education to protect individuals, families and those most at-risk from becoming infected. While our operational funding is supported by the AIDS Community Action Program under the Public Health Agency of Canada, our programming is 100% funded by our donors. We rely on the generosity of islanders to support our mission and goals.

Your gift is tax-deductible and a receipt will be issued. We are pleased to accept your gift through cash, credit card and cheque. 100% of your dollar goes to work; we do not recover administrative costs.
